Who is Leo Sting?
Based out of Grabill, Indiana, our goal is to provide a cost effective travel opportunity where kids can develop the true fundamental skills of baseball to compete at a high level, while also growing their passion for the sport. Building fundamentals along with teaching skills like teamwork, accountability, integrity and sportsmanship, our mission is to prepare our players for the next level.
What does the Travel Season Schedule look like?
The season runs from August 2026 through July 2027. From August-October, teams will practice or scrimmage other local area teams typically 1x per week until the weather no longer allows. Beginning in January, teams will practice 1x per week indoors until Spring. Tournament season runs from April-July. Younger teams may do as few as 3 tournaments in the spring, older age groups should expect to participate in upwards of 8 tournaments. Younger teams, like 9U-11U, will stick to mostly local tournaments (within 1 hour), while the older teams (12U+) or AAA teams will travel further to expand their competition level.
What will it cost?
With no paid coaches or directors, our travel fees remain very reasonable. 8U-10U teams cost approximately $500-$750, while 11U-14U will be $750-$1,250 depending on the tournament schedule. This covers the cost of facility rentals for training, custom uniforms, umpires and tournament fees. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing player gear & equipment along with any travel or hotel expenses. Multiple fundraising options will be available to offset player fees.
